New Okhla Industrial Development Area or NOIDA, came into existence on 17 April 1976. Spread over 203.16 square kilometers, Noida is an integral part of the National Capital Region and houses 5,04,842 of Indian population. Noida is one of the largest planned industrial townships of Asia. Unlike other townships that give emphasis only to development, Noida authorities took much care in the development and maintenance of the green belts, gardens and parks for a sound balance of development and environment. These favorable conditions have made many industrial units, media houses and MNCs to shift their base to this township. It is now a hub of IT services outsourcing and business process outsourcing.
